Labeling and Content
Multilingual Label Preparation
Fee: $349 / product
Label language is determined by the market. Mandatory information is written in English in the US, in English and French in Canada, and in English in Great Britain. In the EU, the information is given in a language easily understood by consumers in the member state where the product is sold; member states may require their own official languages.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which language is mandatory in which market?
- Mandatory information is written in English in the US, in English and French in Canada, and in English in Great Britain. In the EU, the information is given in a language easily understood by consumers in the member state where the product is sold, and member states may require their own official languages.
- Can we use a single label for more than one market?
- It may be possible if the markets’ rules are compatible. We propose a text layout for a shared label covering more than one market and check that the information in each language is consistent with the market rules.
- What if we do not yet know in which EU countries we will sell?
- Since language requirements vary by member state, we first clarify the target countries with you. We then prepare a summary showing the mandatory languages for each country.
- Is this service different from label review?
- In this service we prepare the mandatory information in each language. Checking the label’s content against the rules of a single market is the subject of that region’s Label and Content Review service.
