Before a cosmetic product is made available in Great Britain, the Responsible Person notifies the product details to the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) through the Submit Cosmetic Product Notifications (SCPN) service. This notification is made separately from the CPNP notification in the EU.

- Yes. For a product to be sold in Great Britain, the SCPN notification is made separately from the CPNP notification in the EU.
- When must the notification be made?
- Before the product is made available in Great Britain. The notification is submitted by the product’s Responsible Person in the UK; if we are your Responsible Person, we submit it on your behalf.
- What should we do if the formula or label changes?
- Just let us know about the change; we update the notification when the product changes. For registration services, information updates and corrections within the calendar year are included in the service.

- Product details, the formula and the label. From this information, we prepare the set required for the notification.
