Frequently Asked Questions
- Which UK address should we put on the label?
- Since January 1, 2024, the label must carry the UK address of the business responsible for the food information. If the business is outside the UK, the address of the UK importer is given; the address must be a physical postal address.
- Can we use the label we prepared for the EU in Great Britain?
- Because GB rules are based on the EU regulation as carried over into UK law, the content is largely similar, but there are differences such as the UK address. We review your existing label against GB rules and report the gaps.
- What do you look at most in the review?
- Whether the mandatory information is in English and complete, whether the 14 allergens are emphasized in the ingredient list, and the UK address. We report the findings and prepare the corrected English label text.
- What information do you need from us?
- An image or the text of your current label, the ingredient list and the details of your UK importer are enough. If a nutrition declaration also needs to be prepared, we handle it together with our Nutrition Facts Calculation service.
