Label and Content Review
Fee: $349 / product
The label of food sold in the EU carries mandatory particulars such as the name of the food, the list of ingredients, allergens, net quantity, use-by date, the name and address of the food business operator and the nutrition declaration. The 14 allergens listed in the regulation are emphasized in the list of ingredients through the typeface, style or background color. The nutrition declaration covers energy, fat, saturates, carbohydrate, sugars, protein and salt. The information is written in a language easily understood by consumers in the member state where the food is sold; member states may require their own official languages.
