EU Importer / IOR Assistance

Food arriving in the EU is cleared through customs with a declaration for release for free circulation, and that declaration names an importer. With the EU Importer / IOR Assistance service, we act as the importer in the EU for your goods. A customs representative lodges the customs declaration and handles customs clearance; we coordinate the process.

Who Is Obligated?

Food exporters that have no company in the EU and no buyer who will appear as the importer.

What We Do

  • We check your shipping documents and coordinate with the customs representative for the customs declaration and clearance.
  • For foods subject to border controls, we match the consignment’s pre-notification with the customs procedure.
  • We direct the cleared goods to the delivery address you specify.
